Film lovers- look no further, we  just dropped our first film “The Department” on our YouTube channel as a Valentine’s Day gift to you.

First released in 2015 in collaboration with Closer Pictures, The Department tells the story of a secret department in a business conglomerate specialized in blackmailing top executives into selling their companies to their leader (Jide Kosoko). Two lovers (Majid Michel and Osas Ighodaro) however opt out of the organization, but the group wants her back for one last job. She accepts against her husband’s will, who consequently decides to sabotage the Department in order to save their marriage.

Five Inkblot Villians That Give Us The Chill

Madame (Tina Mba) – The Set Up

Madame’s first scene on The Set Up screams badass!

It is absolutely iconic and one of our favourite scene from The Set up. For the rest of the film she is intense and manipulative

Madame is Fierce!

Hauwa (Funke Akindele- Bello)- Who’s The Boss

Hauwa is terrifying, confident and mean. From her introduction on the screen, this is clear. Every time she curses Liah, we feel a chill. Even after Liah takes her by surprise, she uses every means within her reach to get her back into the company

Hauwa is Confident and Mean

Ozzy (Nse Ikpe- Etim) – Quam’s Money

Ozzy is one of the most terrifying Inkblot characters and was beautifully portrayed in the first 15 minutes of Quam’s Money. There is a soft approach to Ozzy at the end of Quam’s Money but can it make up for the previous hours she tortured Quam

Ozzy did a great job stressing Quam

Funlayo Johnson (Iretiola Doyle)- The Arbitration

Super talented actor Iretiola Doyle plays the iconic role of Funlayo Johnson. She is in control. Her speeches are calculated and perfectly cold.

Funlayo is in control

Eme + Emeka (Toni Tones and Williams Uchemba)- Quam’s Money

Eme changes a lot during the course of the film, but right from the beginning, she is unpredictable, smooth and in control. Emeka on the other hand seemed helpless, but after his first reveal as a villain, he is consistent, cruel and commanding.

A power Couple
